About
Also known as: Ashton Casey, Ashton Nicole Casey
Raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Ashnikko spent chunks of their teenage years in Estonia and Latvia before moving to London alone at 18, and that outsider energy has shaped everything they do. Born Ashton Nicole Casey, they got hooked on rap after hearing M.I.A.'s Arular at age 10, and their sound has always sat somewhere between hip hop, electropop, and chaotic pop maximalism. Their 2019 single "Stupid" featuring Baby Tate went massively viral on TikTok and hit number one on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100, eventually earning a platinum certification in the US. The 2021 debut mixtape Demidevil followed, stacked with collaborators like Kelis, Princess Nokia, and Grimes. From there they kept building: debut studio album Weedkiller landed in 2023 and took them across Asia, Oceania, North America, and Europe on a full world tour, including a slot at Coachella. Their second studio album Smoochies arrived in 2025, with both records nudging into the Billboard 200.
