ATB, the stage name of German DJ and producer André Tanneberger, built his reputation on a signature synthesised slide guitar riff that turned his 1998 track "9 PM (Till I Come)" into a UK number one single. That guitar hook became the sonic fingerprint of his early work, though his sound has evolved considerably since then, leaning into lush vocals, piano textures and varied electronic arrangements. At his peak in the DJ rankings, he sat at number 11 in the world according to DJ Magazine and even topped the DJ List's global chart in 2011. Over a career spanning more than a dozen studio albums, ATB has worked with vocalists including Tiff Lacey and Heather Nova, producing standout tracks like "My Everything", "Renegade" and a chillout take on Everything but the Girl's "Missing". His 2002 album Dedicated landed two big hits in "Hold You" and "You're Not Alone", the latter a cover of Olive's 1996 song. More recent uploads suggest he has kept the music coming well into the 2020s.
