About
Also known as: BNL, Bare Naked Ladies
Barenaked Ladies built their Canadian following on a homemade cassette and a debut album before breaking through in the US with tracks like "Brian Wilson" and "The Old Apartment". Their 1998 album Stunt delivered "One Week", their biggest chart hit, and beyond their studio work they wrote and performed the theme song for The Big Bang Theory. Starting as a duo of singer-guitarists Ed Robertson and Steven Page, the band expanded to a quintet by 1990 before settling as a quartet after Page's departure in 2009. Live shows are a cornerstone of what they do — comedic banter and freestyle rapping between songs are as much part of the experience as the music itself. With 14 primary studio albums, over 15 million albums and singles sold, and an induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, they remain one of Canada's most enduring rock acts.
