Blackjack Billy

About

Blackjack Billy built their reputation on a single song written in 45 minutes on a sweltering Nashville summer day. That song, "The Booze Cruise," became the biggest selling iTunes track in the first half of 2013 by any act without a major label deal, moving over 150,000 copies worldwide and going platinum in both Canada and Australia. SiriusXM's country channel The Highway helped push it there by picking it up as a Highway Find. The group calls their sound "Redneck Rock," a mix of country and rock that leans into good times and clever wordplay. The four piece outfit, made up of Noll Billings, Clayton Shay, Jeff Coplan and Weston Jordan, is very much a Nashville insider project. Coplan co wrote the number one country hit "Angel Eyes" for Love and Theft, and the band's extended circle overlapped with Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Canaan Smith. They released "Drinking All Weekend" in 2020, keeping the party going years after their breakout.
