About
Also known as: BOYSLIKEGIRLS
Boys Like Girls built their reputation on punchy pop punk with enough melodic hooks to cross over into mainstream radio, and their self titled debut album proved the point. Released in 2006 on Columbia Records, it moved over 700,000 copies in the US and earned a gold certification, powered by singles like "Hero/Heroine" and "The Great Escape", the latter hitting number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and going platinum. The video for "The Great Escape" even claimed the top spot on MTV's Total Request Live in 2007, which led to a performance at the TRL studio overlooking Times Square. The band kept up a relentless touring pace through the late 2000s, sharing stages with Avril Lavigne, Fall Out Boy, and Good Charlotte, and making a main stage appearance at Vans Warped Tour in 2007. Their second album Love Drunk followed in 2009, and Crazy World came out in 2012. After a long gap, they returned with the single "Blood and Sugar" from their fourth studio album Sunday at Foxwoods in 2023.
