About

Pedro Winter, better known as Busy P, has worn a lot of hats in French electronic music, but it is the label he built that really defines his legacy. In 2003 he founded Ed Banger Records in Paris, signing Justice, SebastiAn, Mr. Oizo, Breakbot, DJ Mehdi and Myd, making it one of the most influential homes for French electro and electronic music of its era. Before that, he spent over a decade managing Daft Punk, stepping away from that role in 2008 to focus on his own DJ and production career as Busy P. As a DJ and artist, Busy P draws on a mix of electro house, hip hop and heavier influences, with the Beastie Boys cited as a lifelong touchstone. His remix of Fancy's track What's Your Name Again became a genuine club hit, and he contributed to Phoenix's debut album United, playing a Rapman synthesizer on the track Funky Squaredance. The guy basically has fingerprints on a huge chunk of the French electronic scene.
