Coogie is a South Korean rapper and songwriter from Daejeon who built his reputation through sharp lyricism and a sound that pulls heavily from the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, Famous Dex, and Rich the Kid. He first caught wider attention on the rap competition show Show Me The Money 777 in 2018, where he dropped "Saimsaim" and "Watch Me Ballin'" and finished in the Top 12. That same year he put out two EPs, including EMO #1, whose single "Wifey" featuring Changmo drew solid critical praise. His debut studio album Up! landed in 2020 and was well received, and later that year he appeared on "Fadeaway" alongside Jvcki Wai, Paloalto, The Quiett, and Bassagong, a track that went on to win Collaboration of the Year at the Korean Hip hop Awards. After releasing his mixtape I Got A Feeling in 2021, Coogie signed to the prominent Seoul label AOMG in 2022, a move that put him firmly in the upper tier of Korean hip hop.
