Dayna Stephens is an American jazz saxophonist and composer who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, studying first at the Berklee School of Music and then at the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. Alongside leading his own group, he has performed extensively with figures including Kenny Barron, Ambrose Akinmusire, Taylor Eigsti, Julian Lage, Eric Harland, and Gerald Clayton. His album Peace pairs him with guitarist Julian Lage, pianist Brad Mehldau, bassist Larry Grenadier, and drummer Eric Harland, and his discography stretches from The Timeless Now in 2007 through to Gratitude in 2017.
