About

Winning Eurovision 2021 with "Zitti e buoni" turned Måneskin from Italy's biggest rock act into a genuine global phenomenon, but the Rome foursome had already built a serious reputation long before Rotterdam. Damiano David on vocals, Victoria De Angelis on bass, Thomas Raggi on guitar, and Ethan Torchio on drums spent years grinding through street performances and Italian club shows before their second place finish on X Factor in 2017 put them on the map. Their cover of "Beggin'" from those X Factor days eventually became a worldwide hit years later, landing in the Billboard Hot 100 and sitting in the Spotify global top 10 for weeks. Three studio albums chart their evolution: Il ballo della vita (2018), Teatro d'ira: Vol. I (2021), and Rush! (2023). They became the first Italian rock band to crack the UK Singles Chart top 10, racked up an estimated 40 million copies sold worldwide by 2022, and picked up a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Their sound pulls from glam rock, funk, hard rock and classic rock and roll, giving them a throwback swagger that still sounds fresh. Since 2024 the band has been on a quiet hiatus, with each member working on solo projects.
