About
Sir Sly built their fanbase the old fashioned way, staying anonymous while quietly climbing to the top of The Hype Machine chart before finally revealing who they were. The Orange County trio, fronted by vocalist Landon Jacobs alongside Jason Suwito and Hayden Coplen, broke through in a big way when their song "Gold" was used in the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag accolade trailer, earning them international attention. "Gold" also cracked the Billboard Alternative Songs chart at No. 27 and even found its way into the MLB 14: The Show video game. Their debut album You Haunt Me arrived in 2014, with the title track climbing to No. 3 on Sirius XM's Alt 18 countdown. The song "High" proved an even bigger slow burn, sitting at No. 2 on that same countdown for three weeks and hanging around for 19 weeks total. It got picked up by 13 Reasons Why, Riverdale, Lucifer, and the film Happy Death Day, and NBC used it throughout their Sunday Night Football broadcasts in 2017 and 2018.
