Beth Hart has spent decades earning her reputation as one of the most raw and emotionally charged voices in blues rock and soul. Her big break came with the 1999 single "L.A. Song (Out of This Town)", which hit number one in New Zealand and cracked the US Adult Contemporary top five. That same year she was playing the lead in the off Broadway musical Love, Janis, based on Janis Joplin's letters. Her 2003 album Leave the Light On went double platinum in Denmark and launched her into the European market in a serious way, with "Learning to Live" topping the Danish charts. Her collaborations with guitarist Joe Bonamassa have been a real highlight of her career. Don't Explain in 2011 kicked things off, followed by the Grammy nominated Seesaw and the live record Live in Amsterdam, which topped the Billboard Blues Album Chart. Black Coffee in 2018 was their most recent team up. She also has a notable distinction as the only musician to sing backing vocals on a Deep Purple track, appearing on "Haunted" from their 2003 album Bananas.
