Houtmansplantsoen

Houtmansplantsoen is a park in Gouda named after brothers Cornelis and Frederik de Houtman, early Dutch navigators who sailed to the Indies in 1595. The park features a monument to the brothers and a monumental music tent from 1898, which was renovated in 1984. Summer Sunday afternoon concerts continue to take place in the tent, a protected heritage structure.
