St Nicolaaskapel

The Sint Nicolaaskapel, also known as the Valkhofkapel, is a chapel built around 1030 on the Valkhof, a hill in central Nijmegen that was used by the Batavi from the beginning of the Roman era. Charlemagne had a palace constructed on this hill in the 8th century, which was expanded over subsequent centuries. The chapel sits in the middle of Valkhofpark.
