Status Apart is a theatrical and musical walking tour created by Wijktheater Tuindorp Vreewijk, performed throughout the Tuindorp Vreewijk neighborhood in Rotterdam. The production explores the district's century old garden suburb design and its founding principle that everyone has the right to a piece of land, while questioning what that ideal means in contemporary society. Performers guide audiences past the neighborhood's notable locations while examining themes of community, belonging, and selection in shared living spaces.
