About
Chad Taylor is the guitarist who helped drive Live to over 20 million records sold, including their 8x platinum album Throwing Copper. He played on every Live record through 2022, when frontman Ed Kowalczyk announced Taylor had been fired from the band. When Kowalczyk originally left back in 2009, Taylor had already kept busy by forming The Gracious Few alongside Live bandmates Patrick Dahlheimer and Chad Gracey, plus Kevin Martin and Sean Hennesy from Candlebox. That group dropped a self titled debut in 2010. These days Taylor is operating closer to home. He runs a guitar shop called Tone Tailors in Lancaster County, and since 2023 has been playing shows under the name Chad Taylor and Friends, a project that grew out of a casual invite to perform at a local brewpub in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania. The band has since played Philadelphia, New York, Wilmington, and the Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival.
