About
Philly's Grayscale have spent over a decade carving out a sound that sits somewhere between pop punk and something moodier and more emotionally layered. Signed to Fearless Records from 2017 to 2023, they put out three albums through the label, starting with Adornment and building toward Umbra in 2021, which vocalist Collin Walsh called the most authentic version of the band yet. The standout track "Live Again" from that record hits especially hard, drawing from Walsh's own experience with his father's illness. Since going independent, Grayscale have been finding their footing on their own terms. Their fourth album The Hart arrived in 2025, preceded by a string of singles that showcased a band leaning deeper into what makes them tick. Loudwire once ranked Nella Vita among the 50 best rock records of 2019, which tells you these guys are not just scene fixtures but a genuinely consistent creative force.
