Griff won the Brit Award for Rising Star in 2021 at just 20 years old, one of the youngest ever in that category, and has spent the years since proving it was no fluke. The English singer songwriter, born Sarah Faith Griffiths, makes dark, emotionally precise pop with a knack for lyrics that hit harder than they first appear. Her 2021 mixtape One Foot in Front of the Other built serious momentum, and she has shared stages with Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and Taylor Swift as a support act. Her debut album Vertigo arrived in July 2024 and peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. The lead single of the same name got a personal shoutout from Taylor Swift on Instagram, which is quite the co sign. The album also features "Astronaut", written with Coldplay's Chris Martin. She followed it all up with "Last Night's Mascara" later that year, keeping the momentum very much alive.
