Lombard has been one of Poland's most enduring pop rock acts since forming in 1981, built around bandleader Grzegorz Stróżniak, who handles keyboards, vocals, and the overall musical direction. Their sound blends expressive guitar work with keyboards and electronics, and over several decades they have put out a substantial catalogue that ranges from early 1980s rock to swing. Tracks like "Przeżyj to sam" and "Szklana pogoda" have become genuine Polish classics, and the band has played several thousand concerts both in Poland and for Polish audiences worldwide. The lineup has shifted quite a bit over the years. Early on, vocalists Wanda Kwietniewska and Małgorzata Ostrowska helped shape the band's identity before both went solo. Since 1999, Marta Cugier has been the voice of Lombard, and she also writes the band's lyrics today. They showed no signs of slowing down recently, with a new track premiering in 2025.
