About
Few pop acts have ever matched the cultural shockwave of the Spice Girls, and Mel B was right at the center of it as Scary Spice. The group became the best selling female act of all time, shifting over 100 million records, with their debut single "Wannabe" hitting number one in 37 countries and the album Spice selling 30 million copies worldwide. She stepped into solo territory in 1998 with "I Want You Back", which shot straight to the top of the UK Singles Chart and was recorded for the film Why Do Fools Fall in Love. Her debut album Hot followed in 2000, producing the singles "Tell Me" and "Feels So Good". Beyond music, Mel B carved out a serious second career in television. She has judged on America's Got Talent across multiple stints, sat on the panels of both the Australian and British versions of The X Factor, and co presented Lip Sync Battle UK with Professor Green. In 2022 she was appointed MBE for her charitable work.
