Few songs in the past decade have travelled as far as "Let Her Go". Released in 2012, it topped the charts in 16 countries and has racked up over 4 billion YouTube views, making it the most viewed Australian YouTube video ever, since Passenger was living there at the time and filmed the clip at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville. The track earned him an Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work and a Brit Award nomination for British Single of the Year. Passenger is the stage name of Brighton born singer and songwriter Michael Rosenberg, who originally fronted a five piece band of the same name before going solo in 2009. His sound sits in the indie folk space, built around acoustic guitar and confessional songwriting. Since then he has been relentlessly prolific, putting out album after album, collaborating along the way with artists like Boy and Bear, Josh Pyke and Kate Miller Heidke, and touring alongside Ed Sheeran during his rise to fame. His most recent studio album, One for the Road, arrived in September 2025.
