Skott's music carries the unmistakable imprint of Vikarbyn, the remote Swedish village where she grew up surrounded by folk musicians, violins, and forest. That eerie, atmospheric quality runs through everything she makes, which is probably why Lorde and Katy Perry both took notice when her debut single "Porcelain" dropped in 2016. EA Sports agreed, picking it as the official soundtrack for FIFA 17, and YouTube placed her on their Ones to Watch list for 2017. After signing with Sony Music, Skott pushed back against label pressure to make radio friendly pop, eventually walking away to start her own imprint, Dollar Menu. That independence shaped her debut album Always Live for Always, released in 2020, a 12 track record that folded in singles she had put out on her own terms over the years. She followed it up with the EP A Letter From The Universe in early 2022, continuing to do things her own way.
