About
Toronto's The Beaches have spent over a decade sharpening a sound that sits somewhere between punchy alternative rock and arena ready hooks, and their momentum has only grown. Their 2017 debut Late Show, produced by Emily Haines and James Shaw of Metric, gave them their first taste of real radio success with "T Shirt" hitting number one on the Billboard Canada Rock chart. But it was "Blame Brett", the lead single off their 2023 album Blame My Ex, that genuinely broke them wide open. Written about lead singer Jordan Miller's real life split from Brett Emmons of The Glorious Sons, the song went viral on TikTok and introduced the band to a whole new, younger audience. Blame My Ex peaked on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, their first appearance there, and took home the Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year in 2024. The band has also won the Juno Award for Group of the Year in 2024, 2025 and 2026, a run that says a lot about where they stand in Canadian rock right now. Their third studio album No Hard Feelings followed in 2025.
