Providence, Rhode Island's The Brother Kite have been quietly building one of the more interesting catalogs in American alternative rock since 2002. Their sound, layered guitars and dreamy textures across five studio albums, earned them serious attention from the webzine Somewhere Cold, which placed their self titled debut at No. 9 on its 2004 Hall of Fame list and their follow up Waiting for the Time to be Right at No. 3 for 2006. That second album also got a unexpected boost when the track "Get On, Me" turned up in the British TV series Skins in 2008, introducing the band to a whole new audience across the Atlantic. The lineup of Patrick Boutwell, Jon Downs, Andrea Downs, Mark Howard, and Matt Rozzero has kept things going steadily, releasing Model Rocket in 2013 and returning with Make It Real in 2020.
