Two Door Cinema Club announces five date UK arena tour for 2027

Two Door Cinema Club have announced a major UK and Ireland arena tour for early 2027, their first in more than seven years. The occasion is the fifteenth anniversary of their influential debut album Tourist History, which launched the Northern Irish band into the spotlight back in 2010. The tour spans five nights and promises a career spanning setlist that goes well beyond just the anniversary album.

The run kicks off on 23 January at the 3Arena in Dublin, then moves through the SSE Arena in Belfast and the OVO Hydro in Glasgow to the AO Arena in Manchester, before wrapping up on 28 January at The O2 in London. These are the biggest venues the band will have played in each of these cities so far. "Each and every one of these cities holds a special place in our hearts, we've played almost every venue there is to play in each of them, now it's time for the big ones. We can't wait," the band said.

The Royston Club will appear as special guests at the Dublin and Belfast shows, while Circa Waves and Arkayla will join the band in Glasgow, Manchester and London. Fans can access the presale from Wednesday 1 July at 9:00 AM British time, with general sale opening on Friday 3 July.

Tourist History topped the Irish album chart in 2010 and featured on that year's prestigious BBC Sound Of list. The record includes tracks like What You Know and Undercover Martyn, which put the band on the map internationally. Bassist Kevin Baird told NME in 2024 that the album was never really intended for a wide audience: "When we wrote Tourist History, we didn't really know what we were supposed to be doing and no one was ever meant to hear it beyond our friends and whoever turned up at our gigs at Belfast pubs."

The anniversary celebrations around Tourist History are not limited to the arena tour. The band are also playing shows earlier this year at Cardiff Castle and New York's Madison Square Garden, as well as dates in Dublin and Cork. On top of that, festival appearances are lined up including Isle Of Wight Festival, Kendall Calling, Truck Festival, Y Not Festival and TRNSMT. Two Door Cinema Club have now released five studio albums, with the most recent being Keep On Smiling from 2022, followed by the singles Sure Enough in 2023 and Happy Customers in 2024.
