About
The Arenberg Schouwburg is a 16th century building originally constructed as a guild house, later converted into a cultural venue in 1854 when acquired by the Cercle Royal Artistique, Littéraire et Scientifique d'Anvers. It features a grand theatre hall, monumental staircase hall, and lower hall dating from that period. Now owned by the Province of Antwerp, the venue hosts performances in cabaret, comedy and chanson by Belgian and international artists, while its smaller hall serves as a creative workspace and support hub for emerging and culturally diverse artists.
