About
Azotod is a music venue in De Meern near Utrecht that opened in 1977 through collaboration between two cultural centers. The venue gained prominence hosting PaasRock, a three day Easter festival that began in 1982 and attracted major acts including Herman Brood, Within Temptation, and Kane. After a fire destroyed much of the facility in 2004, Azotod reopened in 2008 and operates as an independently funded venue without municipal subsidies, programming live music nearly every weekend.
