Café Bar Moarkswâl is a village café in Aldtsjerk situated along a waterway and on the Elfstedenroute cycling path. The interior features a billiards table and old wooden ceiling beams inscribed with the names of people who first arrived at the café on ice from Leeuwarden each winter, a tradition spanning over a hundred years. The café offers food, drinks, billiards, darts and card games, with regular live music performances and ghost tours organized in autumn.
