About
Muziektuin is a public park in Schagen that originated as the orchard of Vreeburg farm, established in 1677. After the municipality purchased the property, it was converted into a garden park and open air theater used for cultural and recreational events. From its early years through approximately 1980, the venue hosted well attended concerts and performances on a stage beneath a pointed dome structure. Following a period of decline, the site underwent renovation in 2008 to revive its role as a cultural venue.
