About
NTGent is a theater housed in a building dating from 1899 that originally served as a secondary venue for an Antwerp theater company. Ghent established its own theater company here in 1965. Since its 1999 merger with the smaller Arcatheater, NTGent has presented classical, contemporary and experimental theater alongside popular, children's and youth productions. The venue has been known as Publiekstheater since 2001.
