Steve 'n' Seagulls are a Finnish band with a very specific and very entertaining trick up their sleeve: they take hard rock and metal classics and play them as bluegrass. Think AC/DC through a banjo, accordion, and kantele. Their cover of "Thunderstruck" went viral in the summer of 2014 and has racked up over 180 million YouTube views, which is a wild number for any band, let alone one dressed like farmers playing folk instruments. Their debut album Farm Machine came out on Spinefarm Records in 2015, and they followed it up with Brothers in Farms in 2016, Grainsville in 2018, and Another Miracle in 2020. Along the way they have covered everyone from Metallica to the Beastie Boys, even turning up on A.V. Undercover for a version of "Sabotage." The band keeps a rotating cast of members but the sound stays locked in: rowdy, technically sharp, and genuinely fun.
