Basshall Presents: Kybba - ADE

""" Parallel occupies a substantial space within the Tolhuistuin complex on the north bank of the IJ, in the Amsterdam Noord district that sits just across the water from the city centre. The club operates multiple rooms alongside an outdoor area, a setup that allows it to host a range of formats on the same night and scale programming from intimate gatherings to larger events. Its position within the Tolhuistuin, a cultural campus that itself grew out of a former Shell office and recreational compound, places Parallel within a wider ecosystem of arts and nightlife activity in that part of the city. The club's programming centres on electronic music, with particular weight given to techno, house and more experimental sounds. Beyond straightforward club nights, Parallel regularly incorporates live performances, talks and broader cultural events into its schedule, positioning it as something more than a purely nocturnal dance space. During Amsterdam Dance Event, it consistently features as one of the more active venues in the programme, drawing international acts and established party series alike. The PARDON party series, for instance, held its debut at Parallel in April 2022 with a lineup that included Two Shell and Pangaea, and has returned to the venue since. Parallel opened relatively recently and quickly found a footing in Amsterdam's competitive club scene. Its reputation rests on a combination of sound focused production values, a layout that suits immersive event formats, and a willingness to mix club culture with wider cultural programming on a single bill.
