Little Devil, at Stationsstraat 27 in Tilburg, has been the city's go to rock café for over two decades. The interior lives up to its reputation: a dark, cave like space where the regulars are unashamed about their love of loud guitar music. The atmosphere is deliberately no frills, and that is precisely the point. Cheap special beers, late nights and walls that seem built to absorb the volume of stoner rock, thrash metal, punk and garage all contribute to a character that sets it apart from the more polished concert halls Tilburg also has to offer. The programming is relentless. More than 300 live shows take place here each year, covering a spectrum that runs from blues rock and stoner to hardcore punk and death metal. That kind of throughput means the stage has seen a wide variety of touring acts, including international names such as Nunslaughter, Conjurer and Mark Malibu and the WASAGAS, alongside countless underground and local acts that would struggle to find a stage elsewhere in the region. The breadth of genres is real rather than cosmetic: on any given week the schedule can jump from doom soaked instrumentals to raw garage punk without the venue losing its identity. In 2025, rising rental pressures prompted a community fundraiser aimed at keeping Little Devil open, a response that illustrated how genuinely embedded the place has become in Tilburg's music culture. For a city that takes its music seriously, losing a venue pushing 300 shows a year would leave a gap that a polished alternative could not simply fill.
