Groove Raiderz — Amsterdam Showcase

Club Baggerbeest is one of Amsterdam's newer venues, set at Rudi Van Dantzigstraat 1 on Zeeburgereiland, on the edge of the city but within easy reach of the centre. Public transport runs from Amsterdam Central station and stops right in front of the building. It works as a bar, restaurant, creative space and club all at once, and it is usually listed as a nightclub with room for around 300 people. The setup is an event hall with an extensive terrace, which gives it a daytime life as well as an after dark one. The programme leans toward dance music and club culture. Its listings cover house, tech house, deep house, melodic and progressive sounds, trance, acid and techno, played by local and international DJs, with live music, food and cultural events mixed in. Many of the nights are put on by local and international collectives rather than one in house promoter, so the sound and the crowd change from one event to the next. The venue describes itself as intimate and playful, with an inclusive atmosphere and a stated aim of being a safe environment for everyone. Amsterdam Dance Event is a clear focus of its calendar. During the 2026 edition the venue is scheduled to host events daily from Wednesday 21 October to Sunday 25 October, with more than ten separate events. These include daytime parties such as Pompstation, its own daytime format during ADE, as well as club nights with names like Kurai After Dark, MMAATTCCHH and Gaia Mama. Outside ADE week it keeps a regular run of club nights and gigs, and its own description presents it as a place that is meant to feel busy and lively whatever the day.
