Purple Tea x DTLA Records Annual Label Showcase - 50:HERTZ HOUSE & TECHNO CLUB Rembrandt Square

50:HERTZ House & Techno Club sits on Rembrandtplein, one of the best known squares in Amsterdam. It is a small, intimate venue built around underground electronic music, and it is described both as a House & Techno Club and as a Techno Café. That mix of café setting and club programming gives it a more approachable feel than the city's larger dance venues, and it works as an easy way into the local scene for people who would rather not queue for a big room. The venue is listed at Rembrandtplein 45, with an additional address on Halvemaansteeg 14 around the corner. Its character shows most clearly during Amsterdam Dance Event, when the programme fills with label showcases and club nights. The October 2026 edition includes Purple Tea label nights, an Animarum techno showcase, a DJ International Records evening titled Chicago Meets Amsterdam that focuses on original house music, and a Movement Recordings anniversary showcase. Other slots go to the trance and melodic techno club night AEVUM, B'fast2night and Explore, and an evening from the British collective Groove Kitchen, who blend deep house, tech house, funk and soul. Events run from early afternoon daytime sessions through to late night sets, and entrance during the festival is free. The sound across these bookings leans toward house, tech house, techno, trance and progressive, with some bass house and hard dance in the mix. The programme draws artists from the Netherlands and abroad, and the venue's size keeps the focus on the music and the crowd rather than spectacle. Beyond its festival role, the available information gives little detail on the venue's history, so what stands out is its position on a central square and its commitment to club music at a human scale.
