About
Also known as: 2slimey, Sergio Garcia
2Slimey makes the kind of rap that critics genuinely struggle to categorize. The Mexican American rapper from Midwest City, Oklahoma built his sound around hyperpop, rage rap, digicore, and noise music, piling on heavy bass, aggressive AutoTune, and distortion until the whole thing feels deliberately overwhelming. Complex compared his style to noise musician Merzbow, while Pitchfork likened his vocals to "a poltergeist over a beat that feels like the Giga zombie running at you in 28 Years Later." That level of chaos is very much the point. His 2024 track "Shrimp" went viral on TikTok and kicked off a sharp run of releases: the debut mixtape SsoMe, the 13 track studio album High Anxiety, and its deluxe follow up More Anxiety. His 2026 EP TotalBass paid homage to Michael Jackson's Dangerous. Co signs from Lil Uzi Vert, PlaqueBoyMax, and North West helped amplify the buzz, and Complex placed him at number 98 on their 100 Hottest Rappers Right Now list.
