About

Also known as: (703) 863-4357

7038634357 is the numerical alias of Neo Gibson, a musician and producer based in New York City who has been releasing music under that name since 2016. The name is deliberately a bit awkward: a string of digits that feels both impersonal, like raw data, and oddly personal, since it works as a phone number tied to the artist's own biography. The music works from a limited palette, pairing plain, direct melodies with heavy distortion, and carries echoes of trance alongside a songwriter's intimacy. Early releases came out as self released cassettes and CD Rs, followed by a pair of EPs on Genome 6.66 Mbp. Neo Seven (2023) was their first vinyl record, on Blank Forms Editions, with Waterfall Horizon following on the same label in 2025. They like playing in unusual, non musical spaces, from a New York subway station mezzanine to the Présences électronique festival at INA GRM and Radio France, and have composed for the Acousmonium, the huge multi speaker system in Paris. Under their own name, Gibson also works with the artist Charles Stobbs, using FM transmission and techniques borrowed from English change ringing.
