About
A Skylit Drive came out of Lodi, California, and built their name on a mix of post hardcore, screamo and metalcore. Their first EP, She Watched the Sky, landed in early 2007, and the full length Wires and the Concept of Breathing followed in 2008. It reached the Billboard 200 and hit number 20 on the Top Independent Albums chart, and vocalist Michael Jagmin later called it the album everybody goes back to, even though it took a year to really catch on. After signing with Fearless Records they put out Adelphia in 2009, which Jagmin described as their most experimental record, then Identity on Fire in 2011. They toured hard, with Warped Tour runs, dates across Europe and Southeast Asia, and shows alongside bands like Dance Gavin Dance, Alesana and Underoath. Guitarist Joey Wilson left in 2012, and the band returned to Tragic Hero Records to make their next album. The group split in 2017 following a dispute between Nick Miller and Jagmin.
