Aaron Frazer is the drummer and falsetto vocalist at the heart of Durand Jones & The Indications, the soul outfit that became one of the more beloved acts in the retro soul revival after their debut album got a wider release on Dead Oceans in 2018. His falsetto took on a much bigger role on the band's second album American Love Call, where he fronted five tracks and handled the B side of the single Morning in America. In 2021 Frazer stepped out on his own with his solo debut Introducing, recorded with producer Dan Auerbach, who also brought him in to play on the third album by British singer Yola. He has kept that solo momentum going, releasing an EP of live recordings from Easy Eye Sound in early 2023, a cover of the sixties soul track Heart Full of Love, and collaborations with The Harlem Gospel Travellers, before his second solo album Into the Blue arrived in June 2024.
