About
Aaron Hibell has built a reputation on doing something genuinely unusual: layering sweeping orchestral textures over techno and trance to create music that feels more like a film score than a club track. The London based electronic artist first got wider attention with his Monastery of Sound mixtape series, but it was his contribution to the Apple TV+ Tetris film soundtrack, the track "Benevolence", that put him on a bigger map. He worked on that alongside composer Lorne Balfe, and later turned heads with his rework of Ludwig Göransson's Oppenheimer piece "Destroyer of Worlds". His 2024 EP Astral Projection showed real range, featuring a collaboration with synthesizer duo Felsmann + Tiley and a track called "I Feel Lost" that picked up serious traction on its own. A remix of Billie Eilish's "Chihiro" went viral with over 50 million views across platforms, even without an official release. He also produced the original soundtrack for the Ultra Music Festival 2024 aftermovie, and his collab with DJ Alex Wann "Set Me Free" landed among the most played tracks at the Amsterdam Dance Event that year.
