About
Adaro is one of the people credited with kicking off raw hardstyle, which he started producing in 2008. The Dutchman, real name Thijs Ploegmakers, broke through with tracks like "The Haunter of the Dark" and "No Time To Sleep", plus a remix of "Answers" by Chain Reaction. By 2013 he had landed at number 75 in the DJ Mag Top 100, and in 2015 he teamed up with Ran D, B Front and Frequencerz to found the Roughstate label. His hit list is long: "Touch A Star" with B Front hit number 4 in the Q dance Top 100 for 2018, and he has made festival anthems like "I'm Alive" for Rebirth and "Circus Of Insanity" with Digital Punk for Intents. He also runs Gunz For Hire with Ran D, behind tracks like "Bella Ciao" and "Plata O Plomo". Before all that, he made trance as Shocksteady and was part of Driftwood, known for the radio hit "Freeloader". Stages like Defqon.1, Qlimax, Tomorrowland and EDC Las Vegas have all had him on the bill.
