About
Adia, born Destiny Adia Andrews, carved out her niche in Christian R&B and urban contemporary gospel with her debut album Behind Enemy Lines, released through Xist Music in 2014. The record charted at No. 38 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart and pulled together a sound that blends R&B sensibility with gospel conviction. Her debut single Rags to Riches kicked things off earlier that year, with production by Fred Blaze Crawford and visuals directed by Courtney Noyz C. Before the album landed, she had already made a quiet impression appearing on Deitrick Haddon's A Beautiful Soul back in 2012. She also showed where her priorities lie when she donated every cent of proceeds from her track One Day at a Time to victims of the 2011 Super Outbreak. CCM Magazine gave Behind Enemy Lines a solid three out of five stars, recognising a promising voice in the gospel space.
