Adrien Nunez spent four years playing basketball for the Michigan Wolverines, but it was what he built off the court that changed his trajectory. During the COVID 19 pandemic he became the team's most popular social media creator, and when the 2021 Supreme Court ruling opened the door for student athlete compensation, Nunez was well positioned to attract major corporate sponsors, making him one of the highest paid college athletes at the time. After graduating, he pivoted toward music, first by promoting country artists through his social media channels, then by releasing his own material. It worked fast. Within three months of dropping new music, Billboard reported he had signed to Warner Music Nashville and Warner Records. He has since added deals with Sony Music Publishing and William Morris Endeavor, and hit the road supporting acts like Luke Bryan and Myles Smith.
