About
Aesun brings together four lead vocalists who share the front of the stage, trading and stacking their voices in arrangements that have real weight to them. The instrumentation is just as varied: melodic bass lines, guitar that swings between delicate and raw, solid drumming, and a wailing electric violin all fold into songs that give themselves room to breathe, sometimes stretching out to around six minutes with unexpected turns along the way. The band draws members from Nijmegen, Utrecht and Zeddam. After an enforced break of about eighteen months, they returned to the studio with blues rock guitarist Rob Orlemans in Tiel to record four tracks. Those songs came together as the EP Kairos, a word meaning the right moment and the right place to be somewhere.
