About
Also known as: Alessandro Alfonso Fortunato Gaudino, Alex Galdino, Alex Guadino, Alfonso Fortunato Gaudino, Gaudino
Italian DJ and producer Alex Gaudino built his reputation in the late 1990s running his own label, Rise Records, which put out hits for The Tamperer, Black Legend and Robbie Rivera, earning him a nomination for Best European A&R at the 2000 European Music Awards. His real breakthrough came with "Destination Calabria", a floor filler that flipped Crystal Waters' "Destination Unknown" into a saxophone driven dancefloor anthem that cracked the top ten in nine countries and peaked at number eight on the US Hot Dance Club Songs. His debut album My Destination followed in 2008, featuring collaborators including Shena and Hardwell. The second album Doctor Love arrived in 2013, preceded by "I'm in Love (I Wanna Do It)" with Maxine Ashley, which hit number one on the US Hot Dance Airplay Chart, and "What a Feeling" featuring Kelly Rowland, which climbed to number six in the UK. More recently he teamed up with Alexandra Stan, Mufasa and Hypeman for "Body" in 2024.
