About
Alien Beauty is a duo featuring multi instrumentalists Michael Moore and Ziv Taubenfeld, two figures from different generations of Amsterdam's improvised music scene. Moore plays alto saxophone and clarinet, while Taubenfeld handles bass clarinet and percussion. Their sets blend original compositions from both members with open improvisation, moving through dreamlike sonic landscapes and a wide range of timbres and textures. The pair have been performing together since 2013, appearing at venues and festivals across the Netherlands and Europe as part of various projects. With Taubenfeld now based in Lisbon, chances to catch them playing together are genuinely rare.
