About
All the Day Holiday came together in Cincinnati, Ohio, out of the wreckage of an experimental screamo and ambient act called Against the Nations. Two founding members, Mark Ventura and Daniel Simmons, steered things in a new direction and gradually rebuilt the lineup into an indie rock band worth paying attention to. Rolling Stone picked them as one of six breakout acts to watch at the 2009 Bamboozle Festival, which says a lot about the buzz they were generating at the time. Their debut album, The Things We've Grown To Love, produced by Matt Malpass and released in 2009, landed on AbsolutePunk's list of the top thirty albums of that year. The band had the backing of Warner Bros. Records through Linc Star Records and toured under the High Road Touring umbrella alongside acts like Wilco and Feist. They went on hiatus in 2010, with members branching out into solo projects and other bands since then.
