Amazing Stroopwafels
Amazing Stroopwafels has one upcoming show in the Netherlands: on December 20, 2026 at De Oude Veiling, Aalsmeer.
About
The Amazing Stroopwafels have played well over 6000 concerts, which makes them one of the busiest bands in the Netherlands. Their roots are in Rotterdam street music, and they still treat a small, intimate show as home turf. Wim Kerkhof (vocals, double bass, piano) and Arie van der Graaf (electric guitar) sit at the heart of the band, with Rien de Bruin on acoustic guitar and accordion in the line up described by the sources. They never had a proper hit record, yet "Oude Maasweg" from 1981 became a Dutch pop classic anyway. It's loosely based on a Leon Russell song, starts in English, then switches to Dutch for a hazy heartbreak story set in Rotterdam's grey industrial fringe. It reached number 16 in the 2007 Top 2000. They mostly sing in Dutch, have made 18 studio albums, and even toured widely in Denmark.
