Formed in Finland in 2006, Amberian Dawn built their sound around the soprano vocals of Heidi Parviainen and the keyboard driven songwriting of Tuomas Seppälä, blending symphonic grandeur with power metal muscle. Their debut album River of Tuoni landed on Finnish charts straight out of the gate, and the band quickly found themselves on tour across Europe supporting Epica. They moved through lineup changes without losing momentum, signing to Spinefarm Records for their third album End of Eden, which pushed into darker, faster territory and even included a fully classical piece called Virvatulen Laulu. Over the years Amberian Dawn have racked up eleven studio albums, including the concept album Circus Black, and a string of music videos. The band previously went by the name Atheme One, and some of the demo songs from that era were reworked and found their way onto later Amberian Dawn records. Their 2022 video for Looking For You shows the band is still very much active.
