About
Amicitia Landsmeer is a music society from Landsmeer that has been going since 1891. The aim has always been simple: get as many people as possible making music or just enjoying it, in Landsmeer and well beyond. The harmonie plays in the top division for amateur orchestras, and its repertoire is wide and varied rather than stuck in one lane. They like to go looking for unusual stages and musical challenges, and they have a taste for big, crowd pleasing programmes. Their repertoire reaches from Bert Appermont's Celtic Child to music by Karl Jenkins, John Williams and Thomas Doss. They have also played alongside a large choir, with the audience invited to sing along instead of just sitting back and listening.
