About
Amor Muere is a Mexico City based experimental collective that reads like a who's who of avant garde Latin music. The group brought together cellist and vocalist Mabe Fratti, Concepción Huerta, Gibrana Cervantes and Camille Mandoki, each already deep into their own individual projects, which is exactly why the tag 'experimental supergroup' stuck. Their work came together over a period of years before the debut release A Time to Love, a Time to Die landed in 2023. The collective sits firmly in avant garde territory, which makes sense given that its members collectively cover improvisation, experimental composition and electronics. There is no chasing a mainstream sound here. The music reflects the kind of creative cross pollination that happens when serious individual artists decide to build something together rather than just feature on each other's records.
